Nichia Corporation and E&E Japan Co., Ltd (former EPISTAR Japan and EVERLIGHT Japan; E&E Japan web site) settled the pending litigation (request for provisional disposition order) between the companies (case number: Heisei 16 (YO) 22074 in Tokyo District Court). Settlement was reached after E&E made a covenant that it had never sold white LED manufactured by Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd., which is using YAG phosphor, and it will not sell any products covered by the 2927279 patent in Japan.

Nichia continues to enforce its patents and other intellectual property in any part of the world, and against any companies.
